What is Oatmeal Bake?
Oatmeal bake is essentially a baked version of traditional oatmeal. Instead of cooking the oats on the stove or in the microwave, you mix them with ingredients like milk, eggs, sweeteners, and fruits, then bake the mixture until it turns into a firm, custardy dish that can be sliced into squares.

The first time I ever had oatmeal bake was when I was in college, at the coffee shop across from the campus library. I was the student that was too poor to buy a parking pass and the street parking filled up quickly once campus opened. The coffee shop opened an hour before the rest of campus, so every morning at 6:30 AM I walked in the door and made myself cozy. One morning I was needing breakfast and oatmeal was one of the cheapest items on the menu so I ordered it. The remainder of my time in college I would reward myself after a hard test or at the end of a busy semester with this oatmeal. I had struggled to recreate it myself – Until this recipe!
Oatmeal bake is an excellent breakfast and snack option because it offers a combination of convenience and delicious flavors. The fact it stores some health benefits is an extra bonus! It’s an ideal choice for meal prep, as you can bake a large batch and have it ready and available for several days. The beauty of oatmeal bake lies in its versatility—it’s a perfect canvas for experimenting with different ingredients, flavors, and toppings.
