Welcome to Gulp of Grace

Hi, welcome to Gulp of Grace!

My name is Kristin and I am so glad you stumbled upon my site. My hope for this blog is that it becomes a community of individuals that want more out of life by taking a step back from what is “normal”, slowing down, and being mindful of your own time and energy. Think of me as a friend/sister that is helping you find simple pleasures in life. Life can be messy and chaotic, yet still be wonderful! I really am so glad you are here.

A little about me. I am a working mom with degrees in physics and engineering. I have made a career out of STEM education – I take super technical information and find creative ways to communicate it to an audience ranging from kindergarten to college students. I am also the wife of a small business owner. Our time as a family has never looked like the average American family, but we make the most out of the pockets of time we get to all be together. To read more about me, check out my About Me Page.

In this account you will find topics like:

Parenting – I have 2 school age kids and an infant. I have a LOT to talk about around parenting that I am sure many of you can relate to.

Meal Prep and Planning – I enjoy time in the kitchen, although sometimes kitchen time is limited between work, kids and extra curriculars. I am excited to cook and write my way through some old country church cookbooks as well as some of our own family staples. I also am looking forward to revisiting a meal planning/prep system I developed in 2018. I had to give it up in 2020 when basic items became hard to find in our local grocery store, but I am ready to try again and document what a difference these past 4 years have made.

Lifestyle – Not style, don’t come here for that because I am often wearing items circa 2015 or before…. I am talking about lifestyle. I will write about how I approach my days in a way that is intentional and that makes the most out of all areas of life.

I will continue to redesign and create based on what is happening in life as I live it. I hope you stick around because I can’t wait to share with you.
